stripes and squares

a little explanation (if you didn't catch it earlier): i am pre-decorating our 'nursery' room in hopeful anticipation that we might use it one day.  i know this may seem like i am jumping the gun - but i don't want to paint once i am pregnant - so i figure i will get it done while i have the time.  don't worry, i'm not buying baby things or going crazy, just playing with what we have and some brushes.  i know the theme i want and it's gender neutral, so i'm just having fun with it!

ever since the gray paint trend began i have wanted jump on the band wagon!  since i am wanting this room to be neutral - i decided to paint  solid gray below the chair rail and large 10" stripes  on two walls above.  

if you ever paint...get yourself one of the tape applicators.  they are worth the money!

this is just the furniture we currently have in the room - the placement is weird, but again...nothing will be finished yet

vwa-la!  my favorite project yet :)  (these colors look intense, but they look awesome with the gray stripes)
