quick random thoughts :)

i LOVE this picture!! (other than the fact that i am the only one wearing shorts - i got the memo on the colors, just not the pants!!)

i will post again.  one day.  i promise.  i have thoughts running through my head.  emotion is constantly waving over me (not bad, at least not all of it, just an overwhelming amount).

we are busy, always moving, always tired. the puppy is work.  work (the new job) is fantastic.  i love my husband. and our life is VERY full.  i so often feel like my desire and command to glorify my creator with all of myself gets lost among the 'fullness'.  i want to be focused, passionate and overflowing with love.  i'm trying. i'm praying.

well, the cultural food is calling my name (bible study fellowship night - everyone is bringing a different ethnic dish!) and i can't wait to chill with my ladies above tomorrow!

this is asha.  she's a bruiser, no fear and very sweet. asha is clever and always making me laugh!

asha is quite the artist.  pretty amazing for the age of three.  very serious about her art, always concentrating and strives for perfection.  i taught her the other day how to draw a mermaid - with shells, rather than the nude one she was innocently drawing :D

We have been MAI for the last couple of weeks.  New puppy.  Enough said! Here's a few pictures of Mona.  She is a great puppy.  Lots to learn, but she is sweet.  And she is growing fast!  We are currently feeling like frazzled parents - working on a routine - and enjoying it :)

When she is not trying to chew on the laundry, so likes keeping me from folding it!

Please ignore myself in this picture, and don't worry, we don't let her sleep with us - she was just cuddling for a bit.

She is great in the car.  Traveling to and from the cabin she rode at my feet and slept the whole way.

This is when Mona met Jedder (my sister's dog).  She was totally nervous and peed all over the deck at first, but then she warmed right up.  Jedder is also a pit bull and Mona will be about the same size when she is full grown.

They were pretty cute together!

She loves sticks, running around the yard and eating leaves.

Mona is also a diva.  She loves comfort and her blanket.  If she has a choice she will lay on a pillow or somewhere soft over the hardwood floor.  She loves to chew! Hopefully her attention span will lengthen as she grows and she will enjoy a toy for longer than 30 seconds :)

9 weeks, 20 lbs and SUPER CUTE!

I was going to post a picture of some big, mean, growling pit bull here - because that's the first image most people see when they hear the words 'pit bull'.  But really, have you met a pit?  Have you had a pit?  Have you experienced one?  Give ours a try (and my sisters and her in-laws and all of the others out there we've met) and they will change your mind!  I mean, come on, look how adorable she is. :)
