my new favorite place!

Did you know that you can make great memories, get a good workout, have tons of fun and laugh a lot all for $12 (oh yeah, I forgot to mention, you also get to play unlimited mini-golf, laser tag, roller ball, and arcades!). Where? You ask…BOONDOCKS, discount Tuesday!

Or for those of you who haven’t been there,
it is comparable to the now retired Fun Dome (nothing can beat that place!),
Toads, Spare Time Family Fun Center
or in SC there was Frankie’s Fun Park (sounds creepy, I know).

It was RBC (Roy Bible Church) Family Fun Night, so I got to hang out with all my church folks! I couldn’t ask for a better community of friends to worship with weekly and play with often. I’m so thankful the Lord has brought all of these people into my life, so many different personalities, talents, strengths and even weaknesses…all working together in such unity. Only the Lord can orchestrate those kinds of connections.

Unfortunately, my poor husband was too sick to go (he’s got a bad cold…again) so I left him in the dust and had me a good time! J/K :0) I regretfully said goodbye, I really did feel bad for leaving him home alone…and then I went and had me a good time! (Honestly…I very much wish that he would have been up to it, things are just not the same when my best friend can’t do it with me.)

I hate carrying around stuff with me when I go to places like that – so I walked in with my debit card, license, phone and the single key for the car in my pocket. No purse, no jacket and no camera! Bummer…I probably could have gotten some interesting and funny pics. Oh well, I’ll just have to go again…

So, when I got home, my twenty-five year old self, that had an awesome time, whispered into John’s ear before he fell asleep...

“Can we go again to celebrate my birthday, pleeeaassee?”

veggie-tales *episode 2*

veggie tales, veggie tales....it's time for veggie tales!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
they are growing up so fast! the little sprouts are now thick and tall. all the peppers that took a little longer to bloom are now about two inches high. and since it is still snowing and too cold to move anything outside we decided we should replant the bigger plants into larger cups.
and it's a good thing we did - look at those roots!
the cucumbers and squash are the biggest plants. we used little sticks (that were once a decoration) to prop the plants up.
after getting them all replanted into their own cups we had to come up with some contraption to keep this little charmer from eating them :) (she wore herself out playing with the sticks, trying to attack the plants and tromping in the dirt all over the dining room floor!)
so here's the set up in our living room - it's quite a sight! we have huge windows but the actual sunlight that gets through is minimal so we were worried not quite enough light was getting through, but the plants seem to be growing just fine!
stay tuned for the next episode...we may actually be outside...
